Hairdressing certificate

Part time Hair care is at the college once a week. Students are required to spend the rest of the time in salon to gain experiential learning hours.

Our training will provide the learners with an understanding of theoretical and practical aspects of the hair industry and as the course progresses learners will be exposed to more advanced hair techniques.

The Beauty and Hair industry has become one of the most sought after careers. Learners will have many career choices as the general public now sees the necessity of receiving treatments. Beauty and hair industries are working alongside one another as each Profession recognizes the importance of each other. Learners also have the option of travelling the world with their internationally recognized qualifications.

  • Meeting the college criteria.
  • Grade 12 is recommended.
  • Grade 10 applicants can enroll, but they will be required to do extra fundamental subjects.
  • Computer literate for research and class projects.
  • Must be fit and healthy as it is a practical and physical qualification.
  • English is the official language of the qualification, therefore it is a requirement for all learners to read and write English.
  • A commitment to learning.
  • An ability to work and study with fellow colleagues.
  • A desire to work with people.
  • An artistic, creative and imaginative flare.
  • Responsible and respectful attitude.
  • Positive approach to life.
  • Recognition of another qualification from an accredited institution will be done, and formal credits will be applied for previous work done.
  • The Application form to be completed and handed back to college.
  • A deposit is required on application.
  • A fee structure and payment option has been discussed and confirmed with school principal.

To obtain a qualification the following requirements are compulsory:

  • 70% Pass for theory and practical
  • Competent case studies
  • 3900 Salon hours are needed
  • Required learning hours in the college
  • Competency and self-confidence for the international Examinations

On completion of your course the following qualifications are achieved:

  • College certificate listing all modules covered and found competent in and upload onto QCTO database. External trade test required to be completed with the QCTO in year 4 of industry experience. ITEC international Qualification is optional
